Includes the TOP FIVE:
“Double Duty 2nd Edition is singularly successful in combining practical advice with reassurance and encouragement from seasoned parents of twins. It neither sugar coats nor overstates the challenges, but presents a straightforward picture of what parents can expect from their twins at every stage, from pregnancy through the teen years.Tinglof mingles thorough research with personal anecdotes to present a comprehensive resource for parents of twins. With updated information about the medical issues of multiple pregnancy and new insights about the psychology of the twin relationship, the new edition is recommended reading for all prospective parents of twins” Summary: Easy read Rating: 3 The most memorable thing about this book was that it was an easy read. My wife and I read it, and although the ease of understanding it was great for a woman pregnant with twins it left us wanting for more. Summary: liked the bookRating: 4 I recieved the SECOND EDITION to this book and found it had good information even for a mom on her 4th pregnancy, but first time with Twins. I particularly found the advice on individualism helpful because would have made a lot of those mistakes and not even known how it could have affected my babies. Although I am really interested in more pregnancy related information it was a good book with a lot of good information. Summary: Great book in great shapeRating: 5 This book was in great shape when I got it just like they said it would be. Thank you! Summary: Author Tonia Tomlin Chaos 2 Calm give RAVE review for This BOOKRating: 4 Loved this book. I would reccommend to anyone with multiples. I read this book when I was on bedrest for 9 weeks. Very helpful information and LOVED IT. I am an author myself the book Chaos 2 Calm
Rating: 3 This is a baby book. The picture of babies on the front should convey that, but since the subtitle claims it is a guide "from pregnancy through the school years," I was expecting a little more spectrum. You'll be 80% through the book before finishing the first year. If you're having twins and already have one or more children, much of this book will be information you don't need. I was also a little annoyed by the "top five lists." Most of them are simply random comments from moms of twins. It seemed odd to rank these.
But the writing is smooth and we can all benefit from the experience of other moms. There are some interesting ideas in the book and if you are working on a twin library, this might have a place.
