This innovative curriculum teaches both the core concepts and practical skills that support child health professionals in providing optimal care for children and their families. The curriculum is based on six core concepts that serve as the foundation for effective health encounters: Partnership Communication, Health Promotion/Illness Prevention, Time Management, Education, and Advocacy. The accompanying DVD, with a focus on Health Promotion/Illness prevention, one of six core competencies developed by BRIGHT FUTURES, presents an introduction and overview of the Bright Futures approach.
