Product Description:

"Linear Systems Analysis" is a textbook for the undergraduate engineering students, covering the basic principles and techniques for modelling, analysis and simulation of linear dynamic systems. The contents are designed to suit the requirements of a first course in this subject. Such a course is a pre-requisite for higher level courses on topics like Control Systems, Network Theory, Communications etc. The subject matter is treated from the point of view of an engineer, that is, the mathematical concepts and results have been correlated and interpreted in terms of behaviour of physical systems. The pedagogical style is oriented towards meeting the learning needs of an average undergraduate student and yet to be challenging enough for the more serious and advanced student.

About the Book:
This book is designed to serve as a textbook for a first course in Linear Systems Analysis, which is usually offered at the second year level of the B.Tech. programme. It is primarily addressed to the students of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering but could as well serve the needs of students from other areas. The course material is well tried for over two decades of class room teaching. The main emphasis is on developing conceptual understanding of the modelling process of physical systems and the different techniques for their analysis. Efforts have been made to interpret mathematical results in terms of their engineering significance. The exercises challenge the students to develop their analytical skills by exploring new areas.
About the Author:
A.N. Tripathi is professor of Electrical Engineering at the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. He obtained B.Sc. Engineering (Electrical) degree from Banaras Hindu University, M.Tech. (Control Systems) from I.I.T., Kharagpur, and Ph.D. from University of Wales (U.K.). He has thirty-five years of teaching and research experience. Initially he worked in the area of Control System and later on shifted to Power Electronics. His present interests include ethics and human values in engineering.
