Following on from the Geometry of Patterns here we study the regularity, symmetry and translation of solids.
He's back but this time he's lost the wallpaper & found a football. ;-)
This
is a pretty nice little study into the 5 Platonic solids and other
Geometric solid forms as well as exploring some of the intricacies in
creating & defining their properties and recognizing them in the
world around us. Again the actual number of repeating patterns in the
solids is, like that found in patterns, surprisingly small but
exploring exactly why this is forms quite an enjoyable little Geometric
tale.
