Anyone familiar with the Detail & Scale series knows about how the information in this title is presented: mostly black and white photos, 8 pages of color photos, cockpit and ejection seat drawings taken from the aircraft T.O.s (manuals), and lastly, the section devoted to reviewing all known produced model kits. This volumn (38) is slightly biased towards the early F-104A,B,C, and D, and those interested primarily in the F-104G would do well to find a copy of Francois Verlindens Lock-On Nr.1: F-104G. Although D&S vol.38 is very useful, particularly to those building the early Starfighters, the current high price for this O.O.P. book is in no way justified.
