Foreword First Step Microfinance, which is established since 1991, and provides microfinance to business start ups on a nationwide basis, is delighted to be working with our EU colleagues in completing this important area of work. The focus of the INTI programme, in working on a pan European basis with a number of fellow European countries, allows a broad view of opinion in identifying the wide and varied challenges ahead for both national/regional countries and the immigrant population alike. First Step Microfinance would wish to thank the Terenure Enterprise Centre (Community Enterprise Society Ltd ) in Dublin for their assistance in producing this report and summary.
